Backlight strip replacement — ৳2,000 to ৳6,500
This is the most common LED TV repair in Bangladesh. Cost rises with screen size: a 32-inch set usually lands near the bottom of the range and a 55-inch or larger set near the top. Beware of quotes far below this — they usually mean mismatched strips that fail within months.
Power board repair — ৳1,200 to ৳3,500
Component-level repair (capacitors, MOSFETs, rectifiers) sits at the lower end. A full board replacement costs more and is only worth it when the board is physically burnt.
T-Con board — ৳1,500 to ৳4,000
Fixes vertical lines, half-screen darkness and shaking images. Original T-Con boards for popular Samsung, LG and Walton models are usually available in Dhaka.
Main / smart board — ৳2,500 to ৳8,000
Needed when HDMI ports are dead, the set is stuck on the logo, or Wi-Fi and apps have failed beyond a firmware reflash.
Panel replacement — usually not worth it
A cracked or failed panel costs 60–80% of a new TV. We tell customers honestly when a set is beyond economical repair rather than taking the job.
Software / firmware reflash — ৳800 to ৳1,800
Fixes boot loops, frozen logos and corrupted smart TV software without any hardware change.
How to avoid overpaying
Ask three things before agreeing: what exactly failed, whether the part is original or alternative, and what warranty is written on the slip. Any shop that will not answer all three in writing is a shop to walk away from.
